Gujarat, April 6: While taking a break from leading Mumbai in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Hardik Pandya, the team’s captain, went on a personal trip to the famous Somnath Temple in Prabhas Patan, Gujarat. This holy place is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is very important in Hinduism.

On video, Pandya wore traditional clothes as he did religious activities, like praying and doing rituals, in the peaceful temple. His visit was a calm break from busy cricket games and media attention. The Somnath Temple is very important for people who believe in Lord Shiva, and it’s famous worldwide for its history and spirituality.

But Pandya’s relief at the temple is very different from the problems he’s having in IPL 2024. Even though he took over as leader after Rohit Sharma, it’s been tough for Pandya as Mumbai Indians transition. Although he did well leading the Gujarat team, Mumbai’s performance has been going downhill.

Mumbai is having a tough time in the tournament. They lost all three matches they played. First, they lost narrowly to Gujarat in Ahmedabad. Then, they gave away the most runs ever in an IPL match to Hyderabad.

In their recent match on April 1st, Mumbai lost to Rajasthan, who was led by Sanju Samson. Rajasthan won the match by six wickets. Mumbai’s batting didn’t do well from the start and couldn’t recover even though Akash Madhwal took early wickets for them. Riyan Parag played a key role in leading Rajasthan to victory, leaving Mumbai in a tough spot.

Mumbai really wants to win their first game, and they’re pinning their hopes on the match against Rishabh Pant’s Delhi team. The game is happening on Sunday, April 7, at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
